Aerobic tanks need periodic pumping to remove accumulated solids — typically every 3–5 years depending on household size and usage. We locate buried openings, pump the tanks, and re-seal them cleanly.

Chlorine Management

Tablets or liquid?

Your chlorinator disinfects the effluent before it leaves the system — required by TCEQ. We help you choose the right disinfection method and keep it stocked.

Chlorine Tablets
The standard for most residential systems. Refill every 2–3 months depending on flow. We stock the correct tablets — never use pool chlorine, which will damage your system.
Liquid Chlorine
Used in systems with liquid feeders. Requires proper storage & periodic pump inspection.
Refill Service

Preventive Care

Do's & Don'ts.

Do

  • Space out laundry loads across the week — big loads overwhelm the treatment cycle.
  • Use septic-safe toilet paper and cleaning products.
  • Keep your tank locations mapped and accessible.
  • Fix small leaks quickly — a running toilet floods your tank.
  • Pump every 3–5 years or as your inspection recommends.

Don't

  • Flush wipes, feminine products, or "flushable" wipes — nothing labeled flushable actually is.
  • Pour grease, paint, solvents, or medications down drains.
  • Park vehicles or build structures over tanks or spray fields.
  • Plant deep-rooted trees near the system.
  • Use pool chlorine — it destroys the chlorinator.
Troubleshooting

When something's off.

Alarm sounding — what do I do first?

Press the silence button on your control panel. Check chlorine level. Look at the light indicators. Then call us — most alarms are a quick fix once diagnosed. See our alarm troubleshooting guide.

I smell sewage in the yard

Usually a sign your chlorinator is empty or your air pump has stopped. Both are common, both are quick fixes.

My spray heads aren't spraying

Could be a clogged head, pump failure, or root infiltration in the line. We'll diagnose the specific cause and quote the fix.

Water is backing up into the house

Stop using water in the home immediately and call us. This can indicate high solids or a pump failure — do not delay.
